Our museum is closed until February 12th, 2022 due to exhibition renovations. However, you can visit the library by making an appointment and in compliance with the current corona protection rules - currently 2G and mask requirement.
The library
Our library is one of the largest reference libraries on the subject of textiles in Germany. Around 10,000 reference works
on all specialist topics related to textiles, e.g. For example, the area of ethnology, as well as 3,000 fashion magazines from "Burda" to "Vogue" and historical fashion journals from the 19th and early 20th centuries are in our collection as evidence of contemporary history.
The library is open to the public and is available to specialists, students and anyone interested by appointment
Available Monday through Thursday. Borrowing is not possible.
